Youth Medieval Science Workshops (For kids 11-15 years old)

Fun with Catapults (Siege Engines)

Catapults are a variety of military machines which hurl
a projectile which first appeared in ancient times. The
Middle Ages saw the rise of a specific type of catapult
called the siege engine. Students will construct a variety
of small scale catapults and then test their machines.

Constructing Time Measuring Devices (Clocks)

The Middle Ages saw technological advancements in
the measurement of time including the sun dial, hour
glass, and clock. Join us as we attempt to construct
our own measurements of time. Students will design
and construct their own engineering projects and then
test their machines.
