Welcome to Financial Aid!
How and When do I Apply for Student Aid?
Students interested in applying for financial aid should file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on the website http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. Freshmen should submit this application by February 15th for the upcoming academic year. All other students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA before April 15th.
First-year students are those who have earned high school diplomas or the equivalent (GED) by the time they enroll at Penn State. These applicants include high school graduates who have attempted fewer than 18 semester hours and individuals who have enrolled in other institutions before graduating form high school, regardless of the number of credits attempted.
Transfer students who already have a FAFSA on file through another instiution and will be schedualing classes at Penn State for the Spring semester should log onto the FAFSA website and add our school code 003329 to their FAFSA. The state grant agency (PHEAA) should also be notified by logging onto their website at http://www.pheaa.org/ and filling out a "Change of Enrollment Information Form."
Transfer applicants are those who have earned high school diplomas or the equivalent and who have attempted at atleast 18 semester credits at other regionally accredited colleges or universities before enrolling at Penn State.
