On behalf of the Academic Affairs office, welcome to Penn State Worthington Scranton! 

We encourage you to explore all we have to offer. Our campus provides exceptional academic programs as well as the resources of a major research University. We are Penn State proud to bring to Northeastern Pennsylvania a number of degree programs from one of the finest universities in the world.

You can earn a Baccalaureate Degree at Penn State Worthington Scranton in Business, Corporate Communication, English, Human Development and Family Studies, Information Sciences and Technology, Letters Arts and Sciences, Nursing, and Science and an Associate Degree in Business Administration, Human Development and Family Studies, Information Sciences and Technology, Letters Arts and Sciences, and Nursing.

At Penn State Worthington Scranton, we offer also the first two years of over 160 majors! You can begin your undergraduate degree at Penn State Worthington Scranton, and then relocate to University Park or another Penn State campus to complete your degree.

For all of these academic programs, Penn State Worthington Scranton has a first-rate faculty. Many are nationally known in their disciplines, and they bring exciting new developments from their fields into the classroom. The Penn State Worthington Scranton faculty are also at the forefront of a national trend to bring hands-on, student-centered, active learning techniques into the classroom and are committed to collaborative work, including challenging discussions in class, team projects, multi-media presentations, and interactive Web use.

Penn State Worthington Scranton faculty also support student engagement by incorporating internships, service-learning, and community involvement into their courses and programs. These engagement experiences provide collaborative and active learning opportunities and allow students to build community and civic relationships that extend beyond their undergraduate career.

Penn State Worthington Scranton’s facilities are continuously expanding and advancing to meet curricular and student needs. 

The David and Ann Hawk Student Success Center brings together tutoring services with financial aid information and career counseling, as well as health and wellness services.

The campus Library provides access to an outstanding collection of books, periodicals, and databases throughout the Penn State University library system and beyond.

The Business Building is complete with a Wall Street-style trading room, double-screen computers at each desk, and scrolling ticker-tape.

Computing resources for undergraduates at the Worthington Scranton Campus are first-rate, with both general-use and specialized labs for our major programs. Students on campus rarely have difficulty finding a computer to use.

Penn State Worthington Scranton also offers a wide array of student activities including student government and clubs, an active honors program, and varsity team sports and intramural athletics.
