PROGRAM MISSION
Building Engineering Technology Associate Degree Program is a broad-based educational program that prepares graduates for a wide variety of technical positions in the building construction industry.
PROGRAM VISION
The associate degree in Building Engineering Technology, Architectural Engineering Technology Option is a state-of–the-art program that prepares graduates for success in the building construction industry and related fields.  Graduates may choose to continue their education toward a bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
1. POSSESS THE TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS TO WORK IN THE PROFESSIONAL SECTOR OF THE BUILDING INDUSTRY
2. USE CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS TO SOLVE COMPLEX AND REAL WORLD CHALLENGES AND APPLICATIONS.
3. COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY, USING INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY WHERE APPROPRIATE.
4. POSSESS WORKPLACE SKILLS NEEDED TO FUNCTION IN THE BUILDING INDUSTRY.
5. CONTINUE TO LEARN AND ADOPT EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES
PROGRAM OUTCOMES

 1. POSSESS THE TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS COMMON TO A/E/C AND SALES SECTORS    OF THE BUILDING INDUSTRY, INCLUDING: 
 2. THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONTINUE ONTO A FOUR-YEAR TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM.
 3. THE ABILITY TO WORK AS A TEAM MEMBER TO SELECT, SIZE AND DESIGN COMPONENTS OF   BUILDING SYSTEMS.
 4. THE ABILITY TO PREPARE, INTERPRET AND PRESENT WRITTEN AND GRAPHIC DOCUMENTS, USING INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY APPROPRIATE TO A SPECIFIC AUDIENCE.
 5. THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE SKILLS IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT, TECHNICAL DECISION MAKING, DESIGN CODE APPLICATION, ETHICS AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH, CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND ECONOMIC ADHERENCE TO CLIENT REQUIREMENTS.
